no classroom left behind | a bin story

Mr Bastable (our DIS school director) has agreed to match the money we earned last non-uniform day. He is willing to buy us bins from Ikea.

one white. the other blue. one for paper, the other for plastic.

This way, we will be able to have 2 bins in each and every classroom in both secondary and primary schools.

The cleaners will have to be made aware of this in order to clear the bins properly.

Next week we hope to have these some 240 bins. Also two large cages are coming in for the primary side. We are trying to incorporate primary as much as possible. Each bin is for paper and plastic.

Whoo hoo! :) yea man. we’re finally getting somewhere..yet exams seem to be looming too close..

  1. Involving primary will be good, catching them when they’re young will give great results. This is one of the many footprints we are leaving in DIS,, BIG thanks to Mr. B for supporting us all the way.

p.s. Seaonnah! i’m FINALLY on,, and nearly addicted ! haha looking good ;)

  2. Excellent work E-cubed. It is great to see such active involvemnt of so many students at DIS on such an important topic as Global warming. I am sure all teachers will be very greatful for the recycling bins in their classrooms.

    Good luck for green week.
